Job description

The Controllers team ensures that the firm meets all financial control and reporting obligations as a global financial institution. This role focuses on measuring profitability and risks associated with the firm's business activities while ensuring compliance with financial market regulations. The team is responsible for managing capital calculations, planning, and reporting various regulatory and internal capital metrics. Professionals in this role will collaborate with various departments to enhance workflow and infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, or finance preferred, but not required.
  • CPA or CFA preferred, but not required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Regulatory experience related to Basel III, Advanced, Supplemental Leverage, or GSIB preferred, but not required.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate, analyze, and report regulatory capital, leverage, and systemic risk.
  • Enhance and improve workflow and infrastructure to meet current and future regulatory rules and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary regulatory capital liaison to the business units by providing subject matter expertise.
  • Provide business level capital attribution to assist revenue divisions committing capital to facilitate client requests.
  • Respond to various ad-hoc requests with detailed analysis.
  • Assist in developing short and long term capital projections.
  • Perform analytics on data while summarizing and communicating related findings.
  • Develop and manage relationships with colleagues from broader controllers teams, Corporate Treasury, Risk, Legal, and Technology.
