·FY 2025Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer to architect and scale the software backbone that connects the physical world to accelerated computing. This role focuses on developing high-performance, low-latency data pipelines for sensor integration and streaming, impacting fields such as robotics, healthcare, and industrial AI. The engineer will work closely with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of technology through innovative software solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (BS or MS) or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in systems programming (C/C++/Python) and Linux internals.
- Deep understanding of networking (TCP/UDP, RDMA, kernel bypass, high-throughput systems).
- Experience with real-time operating systems or low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with hardware/software interfaces (PCIe, DMA, FPGA, SPI, I2C, I2S).
- Solid debugging skills across complex, multi-component systems.
- Experience working close to hardware and performance bottleneck.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, Codex and Cursor.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, low-latency data pipelines from sensors to GPU memory.
- Develop and optimize system software, drivers, and APIs for sensor integration and streaming.
- Work across the stack from FPGA interfaces and networking protocols to CUDA and application frameworks.
- Enable seamless integration of diverse sensors into the Holoscan ecosystem.
- Debug and optimize real-time distributed systems under strict latency and throughput constraints.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to a platform that reduces sensor integration complexity by orders of magnitude.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
