Job description

NVIDIA's System Product Team is seeking motivated hardware engineers to advance the GPU memory subsystem from initial power-on to production. The role involves collaboration and problem-solving in a cutting-edge technology environment focused on high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. Engineers will engage in memory tuning, validation, and feature enablement for NVIDIA products. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to innovative developments in technology.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed signal/analog, embedded systems, and digital design or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in hardware engineering.
  • Understanding of high-speed signal integrity and experience with oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of schematic capture and board design.
  • Familiarity with PC systems, Windows OS, and Linux.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as C, C++, JAVA, Python, or Perl.
  • Strong collaboration and cross-disciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform DDR memory tuning, validation, and feature enablement on NVIDIA products.
  • Review silicon design specifications, component datasheets, board schematics, and layout.
  • Utilize understanding of digital, analog, and computer design to debug and resolve issues at all product stages.
  • Refine memory bringup and validation strategy while providing feedback to silicon, board, and software teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
