Job description

The NVIDIA Isaac team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop simulation tools that leverage GPU technology for physical AI challenges in robotics. This role involves working with a team of robotics engineers to create industry-leading tools for evaluating robot foundation models. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the application of machine learning in simulation environments. Candidates will engage in translating research ideas into scalable products for NVIDIA's user base.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of full-time experience in robotics and/or simulation.
  • Experience in software design and working on a significant software project.
  • Proficiency using Python and development experience with deep learning software stacks such as Pytorch or Jax.

Responsibilities

  • Build simulation frameworks for training and evaluating robot foundation models on NVIDIA's Omniverse platform.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, testing, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Train and evaluate robot foundation models.
  • Integrate modern LLM and agentic workflows into simulation and robotics workflows.
  • Collaborate with researchers to translate ideas from research into scalable products.
  • Stay updated with the state-of-the-art in robotics research.
