This role focuses on owning and scaling the internal CI as a Service platform, which includes GitLab CI and GitHub Actions infrastructure. The engineer will manage the platform like a product, ensuring high availability and self-service capabilities. The position involves collaboration with various NVIDIA Software units to meet their infrastructure and system needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in SRE/platform roles with strong fundamentals in SLO/SLI build, incident command, resource planning, performance tuning, and production Linux administration at scale.
- Deep Kubernetes administration experience including CRDs, operators, HPA/VPA, ingress, service mesh, RBAC, and network policies.
- Hands-on expertise with GitLab continuous integration and GitHub automated workflows at scale.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or bash scripting, with production experience in IaC and configuration management tools.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in building observability tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, handle, and expand a multi-tenant CI platform built on GitLab’s CI framework and GitHub’s action-based automation.
- Own the underlying Kubernetes substrate end-to-end, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, and autoscaling.
- Drive reliability and capacity engineering by establishing SLOs and error budgets for queue time, job success, and runner availability.
- Build self-service layer pipeline templates, reusable workflows, and guardrails for product teams.
- Continuously improve developer experience by enhancing pipeline performance and reducing flakiness.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
