Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior QA Software Test Engineer to join the NVIDIA-Cumulus system Ethernet group. This role focuses on testing Ethernet Switch/Router systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux. The engineer will participate in requirements and design reviews, develop test plans, and execute tests. The team is involved in testing AI & Spectrum-X solutions, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in Software Quality Engineering.
- Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols such as MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, and EVPN.
- Experience using test tools from Ixia or Spirent and familiarity with test management.
- Proficiency with tools like HP ALM.
- Good experience working on Unix or Linux based operating systems.
- Strong technical abilities in problem solving, designing, coding, and debugging.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional testing of various Layer 2 and Layer 3 features of NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems.
- Write detailed feature and system test plans and design test beds and topologies.
- Identify and report issues found during testing into the defect tracking system.
- Validate fixes and workarounds for reported issues.
- Develop automated test suites for different features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux.
- Build and maintain automation to ensure quality through continuous functional regression.
- Collaborate with design, test, and other internal engineering groups to identify, report, and resolve issues.
