The role is for an experienced leader in the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, focusing on managing and growing the Amazon Display Protocols team. This team is dedicated to developing low-latency streaming protocols for secure remote desktop and application streaming. The position is based in Seattle and involves collaboration with a distributed engineering team across the US and Italy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about interactive graphics applications in the Cloud and committed to delivering high-quality technology solutions.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Manage the overall development life-cycle and translate complex requirements into detailed designs and plans.
• Review designs created by other leaders and team members to ensure high code quality.
• Lead partnerships with other leaders to deliver high-quality results on-time and on-budget.
• Own the long-term strategy for products and services in collaboration with the Director and product managers.
• Balance efforts between executing the long-term roadmap and addressing emerging customer issues.
