As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers to remediate issues, upgrade existing infrastructure, or add new services. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure safety and security while optimizing capacity and sustainability. This role involves managing engineering projects and building relationships with various stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects at a global scale.

  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

Responsibilities

  • Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions that improve availability and increase sustainability.
  • Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models to match as-built site conditions.
  • Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for your discipline during new remediation projects.
  • Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover of projects.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
