Job description

This role is a senior-level application development position within Citi's Cards technology organization, focusing on delivering end-to-end software development in a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET-based development and Agile methodologies, while also leveraging emerging AI tools to modernize critical systems. The position requires strong communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders across distributed teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application development, systems management, or project delivery in a technology environment.
  • Proficiency in .NET development, including VB.NET and C#, on Windows-based systems.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and SQL Server for application and database development.
  • Experience with Unix scripting and Autosys for job scheduling and automation.
  • Demonstrated use of GitHub for source control and collaborative software development.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI tools and AI/ML development practices.
  • Experience in the credit card or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage application development deliverables across the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Gather technical requirements, code specifications, and test plans across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and production maintenance of enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues through in-depth evaluation of business and system processes.
  • Ensure alignment to established architectural standards and identify opportunities to modernize existing applications.
  • Support development activities within the Mail Management System and Statement System integration environments.
  • Apply AI/ML development skills to enhance application capabilities and delivery efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Unix scripts and Autosys job scheduling configurations.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.
  • Lead and integrate within a team of experienced application developers.
