The Apple Services Analytics Engineering QA team is seeking Mid-level Data Test Automation Engineers to ensure the quality and integrity of customer experience data. This role focuses on developing automated testing tools for near real-time and batch data pipeline systems. Engineers will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams to improve data quality and implement automated tests. A strong commitment to technical quality assurance and user-focused design is essential.

• BS/BA/MS/MA/PhD degree in any of the STEM majors.
• 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as HDFS, AWS, Spark, and Kafka.
• 5+ years of knowledge in Python, Java, and/or Scala.
• 5+ years of experience with Big Data query tools like Hive and SparkSQL.
• 5+ years of experience with near real-time and batch data pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience in data migrations, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence.

• Understand near real-time and batch data pipeline systems developed by engineering teams.
• Carry out data profiling and understand schema, data interrelationships, and data flows.
• Document test plans and write test case automation.
• Work closely with other teams for bug reporting and isolation.
• Implement automated tests for NRT and batch data pipelines using QA automation tools.
• Automate UI testing for iOS devices.
• Demonstrate excellent bug reporting skills and communicate clearly with third parties.
• Lead junior team members and contribute in a team environment.
