The Principal Engineer will be part of the Enterprise AI/ML Platform team, focusing on delivering machine learning capabilities at enterprise scale. This role involves designing, building, and evolving platform capabilities while collaborating with various teams to ensure robustness and usability. The team is responsible for creating scalable AI/ML solutions and maintaining enterprise-grade gateways for model access and usage insights. The position requires a hands-on approach to improve shared services and optimize performance across machine learning workloads.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience building and operating production platforms and services at scale.
• Deep software engineering expertise in Python and distributed systems.
• Linux fluency and scripting skills are required.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including S3, Lambda, and SageMaker.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices at scale.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with ML enablement in production environments.

• Design and evolve reliable, secure, and cost-efficient platform capabilities for machine learning.
• Improve shared services, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure patterns across enterprise repositories.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers and conduct code reviews across repositories.
• Set platform strategy and standards for ML packaging, deployment, serving, and observability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize models and define APIs and automation.
• Lead cross-platform incident response and post-mortems to drive systemic fixes.
• Advance model and data observability through tooling for drift detection and prediction quality monitoring.
• Reduce cost and complexity across the ML ecosystem through clear abstractions and a long-term roadmap.
