Job description

Amazon Security is seeking a Data Engineer II to enhance resource and application discovery initiatives within the security domain. The role involves collaborating with a diverse team to build high-quality datasets for security investigations and application modeling. The ideal candidate will work with AWS services and contribute to the transformation journey of leveraging AI in data processing. This position offers opportunities to engage in a fast-paced environment while ensuring data integrity and governance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases and data stores

Responsibilities

  • Develop and influence the team's data strategy and data storage roadmap through collaboration with partners
  • Lead designs for data governance strategy and define data schema
  • Continually improve data quality and operations through automation and building CI/CD data pipelines
  • Build end-to-end data pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources
  • Utilize AI/LLM to automate manual and redundant data engineering tasks
  • Evaluate and implement big-data technologies to optimize processing of large datasets
  • Write high-performing and optimized SQL queries
