This role is for a Software Development Engineer (SDE2) within the AWS Infrastructure Services team, focusing on building intelligent systems for data center alarming. The team is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and reliability of AWS's global infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to automate alarm triage and integrate AI services. This position offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy and mentor junior engineers.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Build services in the Data Center Alarming Platform to turn alarm data into actionable signals.
• Integrate with Amazon Bedrock for natural-language alarm summarization and triage assistance.
• Contribute to the Automated Triage and Ticketing Engine for classifying and routing alarms.
• Define infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and own the operational health of deployments.
• Participate in design reviews and provide meaningful feedback on team proposals.
• Mentor SDE1s through code reviews and help them grow into autonomous contributors.
