Job description

This role is an opportunity to join Amazon's technical team in Herndon, VA, focusing on building and maintaining large distributed systems. The position involves working closely with demanding customers to address their specific needs while improving the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux and networking fundamentals, a passion for coding, and the ability to think big in deploying solutions at scale. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Work with Amazon's largest customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services
  • Conduct deep-dive troubleshooting and technical post-mortem discussions
  • Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices
  • Improve and streamline processes for massive scale operations
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical managers to enhance skills and career development
