The Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) team is seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead the development of core testing platforms and AI-driven testing capabilities. This role involves collaborating with leadership and colleagues to influence business strategy while ensuring high-quality code delivery. The engineer will work on distributed systems at a global scale, impacting tens of thousands of software engineers across Amazon. The position emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to operational excellence.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Serve as a clear technical leader and partner with colleagues to deliver scalable architectures
• Quickly and reliably deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet customer needs
• Build and operate distributed systems at a global scale, including serverless test orchestration
• Demonstrate excellent taste in developer experience and tooling design through the software development life cycle
• Influence business strategy and product roadmaps in partnership with management
• Engage with customers to understand and shape their testing requirements
• Set a high standard of technical and operational excellence for the team
