Job description
The Siri and Information Intelligence team is seeking candidates to enhance the capabilities of Siri and Apple products through applied machine learning and software engineering. The team focuses on delivering optimal, secure, and privacy-preserving experiences using generative AI techniques. Candidates will work collaboratively with diverse teams to develop innovative features and improve search experiences for users. Mentorship of aspiring applied scientists and engineers is also a key aspect of this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of industry-related experience in collaborative environments.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX for training and deploying deep learning models.
- Proficient in at least two programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge and prior experience with deep learning and generative AI frameworks are desired.
Responsibilities
- Leverage advancements in machine learning and software engineering to contribute to generative experiences.
- Develop world-class evaluation techniques for accurate measurement and calibration of model responses.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, quality, data, product, and design teams to develop innovative features.
- Mentor aspiring applied scientists and engineers to broaden their horizons and amplify their impact.
- Build machine-learned models for search relevance ranking and query understanding.
