Job description

As a Product RF Design Engineer at Apple, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on advancing wireless technology for innovative products. Your role will involve applying your expertise in RF architecture, design, and integration to optimize product performance. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including software architects and industrial designers, to ensure the best RF/Wireless functionality. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
  • Coursework or experience in antenna/RF design, wireless communications, electromagnetic theory, or circuits.
  • Experience in antenna design, including simulation and architecture investigation.
  • Experience in RF measurement and desense.
  • Experience in integrating wireless technologies such as cellular, GPS, Wifi, and NFC into products.
  • Experience with RF schematic and PCB layout practices and guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab instrumentation.
  • Ability to debug desense issues and characterize noise sources.
  • Experience in a production environment and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in all aspects of product design from concept to final production.
  • Collaborate closely with wireless and software architects, industrial designers, and product designers.
  • Guide and sculpt product design to optimize RF/Wireless functionality.
  • Support manufacturing teams from the prototype phase to mass production.
  • Use electromagnetic and system simulation for understanding complex system interactions.
  • Conduct hands-on prototyping, testing, and measurement to inform product design decisions.
