Job description

The role involves providing technical support and application development for optical metrology solutions within KLA's Film and Scatterometry Technology Division. The team focuses on customer engagement, ensuring tool performance, and optimizing metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. This position requires collaboration with various engineering teams to enhance product capabilities and address customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor applications and a commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–8+ years of experience in semiconductor applications, metrology, or process engineering.
  • Knowledge of optical metrology techniques such as ellipsometry, reflectometry, and scatterometry.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary technical contact for customers on optical film metrology applications.
  • Support tool installation, qualification, and production ramp at customer sites.
  • Develop and optimize recipes for optical metrology applications.
  • Execute customer demos, evaluations, and acceptance tests.
  • Collaborate with product engineering and R&D teams to report issues and drive improvements.
  • Maintain high productivity and responsiveness to customer needs.
