Job description
The Staff Software Engineer for the Search Local Ads Data Platform at Google will focus on developing large-scale software solutions that enhance the accessibility of location information within the Ads ecosystem. This role involves working on critical projects that contribute to Google's advertising business, which encompasses various networks including Search and YouTube. The engineer will leverage AI technologies to improve content generation for local businesses and ensure the stability of production systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end languages such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end technologies like JavaScript or TypeScript.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Design, architect, and develop the next generation serving infrastructure for loading and indexing information in Ads.
- Leverage AI to generate new additional content for local businesses and determine which ad should serve.
- Work on projects spanning a range of technical domains including feature engineering, backend pipelines, low latency infrastructure, advertiser reporting, and production stability.
