Job description

As a Senior Product Data Scientist at Google, you will be part of the Pixel Data Science team, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and executive leaders. Your primary focus will be to leverage data and advanced statistical modeling to drive product decisions and optimize performance for Google Pixel devices. You will lead analytical work streams and build models to understand user engagement and product performance. This role is ideal for someone who is strategic and passionate about using data to influence hardware product direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), or 5 years of work experience with a Master's degree.
  • Experience consulting and applying statistical modeling or machine learning techniques to product or business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams to translate complex business and product challenges into analytical solutions.
  • Perform in-depth analyses and experiment design across key Pixel product areas to identify strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Build predictive and causal models to understand user engagement, churn, and loyalty patterns across the Pixel ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, predictive workflows, and automated analytical dashboards to track and report on key performance indicators at scale.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and lead the development of AI agents and custom analytical tools to scale team capabilities.
