The Staff Security Engineer Manager for Enterprise Security Cloud at Google is responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on securing Alphabet's multi-cloud infrastructure. This role involves defining and implementing strategies for cloud security controls while ensuring consistent enforcement across various teams. The manager will work closely with technical leads to drive outcomes for security risk reduction and developer enablement. The position requires a strong background in security engineering and team leadership to address fundamental security challenges at Google.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- 8 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
- 3 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
- Experience in people management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers focused on securing Alphabet's multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Work with Team Leads to define and implement the strategy for cloud security controls.
- Drive alignment by partnering within Privacy, Safety, and Security and across Cloud teams.
- Oversee proactive uplift strategies to continuously enhance security controls across cloud initiatives.
