The Data Center Electrical Engineer will be part of the Data Center Engineering team, focusing on the physical design and implementation of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop innovative electrical products and technologies. The engineer will ensure compliance with industry codes and standards while driving improvements in electrical infrastructure. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to support the technical infrastructure of Google's data centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations and emergency power systems.
- Familiarity with cross-discipline teams and data center equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement High, Medium and Low Voltage system physical design using AIS and GIS products.
- Develop and review power system studies, grounding calculations, and voltage drop.
- Create new electrical product solutions for Switchgear, Transformers, and Energy Storage.
- Collaborate with various teams to deliver innovative designs for technical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards while managing multiple electrical products.
