Job description

The Technical Program Manager for Data Center Security Engineering at Google will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on enhancing security within data centers. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the integration of physical and cyber security solutions without disrupting critical operations. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in system design and project management to drive strategic initiatives across Google's global data center footprint. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between engineering teams and operational units, ensuring effective execution of large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technical program management or engineering leadership within mission-critical facilities.
  • 8 years of experience managing technology deployments across the full life-cycle.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience managing programs within hyperscale data center environments or cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and engineering of physical and cyber security solutions for data centers.
  • Partner with design standards owners to evaluate and inject engineered security solutions into foundational blueprints.
  • Collaborate with operations teams throughout the engineering lifecycle to ensure solutions are operable at launch.
  • Translate vulnerability assessments into actionable engineering efforts and architectural improvements.
  • Analyze security telemetry and operational data to identify trends and improve deployed solutions.
