Job description

The Platforms and Devices Senior Silicon Engineer role focuses on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's consumer products. The team is dedicated to pushing boundaries in hardware experiences, integrating AI, software, and hardware to create innovative technologies. This position involves leading the development of system-on-chip (SoC) and custom IP microarchitecture to enhance performance and efficiency. The engineer will also engage in quality checks and contribute to methodologies that improve design efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Silicon Engineer-related occupations.
  • 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in microarchitectural development of IP or SoC development and RTL development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and optimize system-on-chip (SoC) and custom IP for Google's consumer devices.
  • Lead the development of cutting-edge SoC and IP microarchitecture to ensure optimal power, performance, and area.
  • Collaborate with architect and software teams to define new IP and its corresponding micro-architecture.
  • Conduct quality checks of front-end design, including writing RTL and performing various quality checks.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools to enhance design efficiency.
