The Senior Staff Software Engineer role focuses on building foundational infrastructure for the AI-Native Agentic Cloud at Google Cloud Platform. This position involves developing the Agent and Skill Registries to enable complex, autonomous agents to interact seamlessly. The engineer will work on critical projects that impact Google's needs and will have opportunities to switch teams as the business evolves. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++ or Go.
- 8 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with Cloud.
- 3 years of experience with Graph Algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall design, architecture, and implementation strategies for the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
- Set the technical direction, plan project deliverables, and drive execution while making direct technical contributions.
- Lead, empower, and grow a team of software engineers by providing technical guidance.
- Establish and maintain rigorous technical standards to ensure exceptional code quality and system reliability.
- Partner with product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders to define goals and manage strategic relationships.
