Job description
The Mid-Career Irrigation Engineer at Jacobs will lead technical teams in the planning, design, and construction of irrigation and water supply projects. Based in Boise, Idaho, this role focuses on improving irrigation infrastructure in the Northwest region. The engineer will engage in complex projects from concept through detailed design and construction services. Additionally, the position involves business development and fostering strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural, Civil, Environmental, or Irrigation Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience working in irrigation subject areas, including hydraulic analysis and conveyance design.
- Ability to work independently and manage design tasks.
- PE license in Idaho, Washington, or Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of planning, design, and construction documents for irrigation projects.
- Assist with business development, including strategy development and contract negotiations.
- Mentor and coach early-career engineers within the Water Resources Group.
- Perform hydraulic analysis and produce feasibility reports for irrigation projects.
