Job description

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will work within Jacobs' Advanced Manufacturing group, focusing on the engineering and design of data centers and mission-critical facilities. This role offers flexibility in location across the U.S. and emphasizes collaboration within a multi-discipline team. The engineer will contribute to projects that enhance power distribution systems and other electrical components in complex industrial settings. The position is ideal for someone passionate about innovative design and eager to make a significant impact in the field.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial facility design.
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design work for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems.
  • Contribute to team technical collaboration and perform quality reviews of design packages.
  • Assist directly with other portions of the design process and interact with clients, owners, and contractors.
  • Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
  • Work closely with a multi-discipline team to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
