Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineering Project Discipline Lead for Gas Power Generation at Jacobs will play a crucial role in expanding the Energy & Power Solutions team. This position focuses on delivering reliable power solutions in response to the evolving energy landscape. The successful candidate will engage with clients to assess their energy needs and lead a team of electrical engineers through detailed design and execution phases. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 10 years of electrical engineering design and consulting experience with EPC firms, utilities, or large-scale consultants.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams and significant engineering fees.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large teams of electrical engineers in detailed engineering studies, modeling, and design for utility scale power generation assets.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leadership, Operations, Client Account Managers, and sales professionals on strategic pursuits.
  • Engage with clients to develop relationships and deliver innovative energy solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff while managing a diverse array of tasks.
