Qualcomm is seeking a Support Engineer to work primarily out of the Boulder, Colorado office, with occasional travel to San Diego. The role involves debugging and integrating RF, analog, and digital systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance design solutions. Candidates must be able to perform complex automated tests and provide technical support to design engineers. A government security investigation and Top-Secret clearance eligibility are required for this position.

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience, or Associate's degree and 3+ years of related experience, or High School Diploma and 4+ years of related experience.
• 2+ years of experience with digital hardware/software and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
• 2+ years of experience in a lab or production environment.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

• Apply basic design troubleshooting rules and processes for electronic hardware and integrated circuitry.
• Read device specification sheets and interpret details to validate hardware design features.
• Identify ways to optimize tests and hardware designs by evaluating device performance.
• Assist in assessing complex design features to identify potential flaws and compatibility issues.
• Document essential details of materials, components, chipsets, and assemblies for a device.
• Troubleshoot common issues with product designs and suggest possible solutions.
• Provide basic technical input and support for internal customers.
• Act as a tech lead on small projects with minimal guidance.
• Assist in conducting specialized analysis under the direction of more experienced engineers.
• Interface with various cross-functional teams to improve yield, productivity, and quality.
