Job description

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for its Data Center Business Unit to design, develop, and commercialize software and firmware solutions for Cloud Edge and Data Center machine learning applications. The role involves working closely with internal and cross-functional teams to advance technologies such as machine learning acceleration and memory management. Candidates should have a strong background in embedded software development and experience with various programming languages. This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • 2+ years of work experience with low level C programming.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of software and firmware solutions for machine learning use cases.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to advance critical technologies.
  • Develop and test embedded software including board support packages and device drivers.
  • Work in a structured software development environment while contributing to novel designs.
