Qualcomm is seeking hardware micro-architects and RTL designers to develop the Adreno GPU for Snapdragon compute platforms. This role focuses on optimizing hardware design for performance, power, and cost across various devices, including smartphones and automotive solutions. The team aims to lead in graphics and compute technology, contributing to Qualcomm's mission of innovation. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment across multiple locations, including San Diego and Austin.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
- Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog design and Synopsys synthesis.
- Familiarity with low power design and test plan development.
- Knowledge of Computer Architecture and Computer Arithmetic.
- Proficiency in C/C++/Python programming languages.
- Experience in designing RTL for GPU, CPU, DSP, or related blocks is desired.
- Exposure to Graphics API such as OpenGL, Vulkan, or Direct3D is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Micro-architect and design RTL for blocks and modules of Adreno GPU architecture.
- Identify advanced ways to optimize hardware design for better performance, power, and cost.
- Evaluate the hardware feasibilities of complex algorithms and requirements.
- Develop micro architecture and specifications for new generation designs.
- Provide essential verification and debugging activities throughout the project cycles.
- Optimize silicon cost and improve clock speed.
- Troubleshoot silicon issues related to the corresponding design.
