Job description
The role at Qualcomm involves owning the CI, build, and release infrastructure for the Delegates portfolio, which includes ONNX Runtime, ExecuTorch, and TFLite/LiteRT. The position is part of the AISW engineering team and focuses on ensuring high-quality software delivery across various platforms including Linux, Windows, and Android. The engineer will also integrate hardware-in-the-loop validation for Snapdragon SoCs and drive improvements in developer workflows through AI-assisted tooling. This position requires collaboration with both internal teams and external partners to maintain and enhance the CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 8+ years of software, DevOps, or release engineering experience.
- Master's degree in a related field and 6+ years of experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI coding agents into CI or development workflows.
- Deep experience with CI/CD platforms and Git-based SCM workflows.
- Effective communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
Responsibilities
- Design, own, and evolve multi-platform CI pipelines for various delegates across Linux, Windows, and Android.
- Maintain reproducible build recipes and manage cross-platform dependencies.
- Integrate hardware-in-the-loop and on-device automated testing into CI workflows.
- Own the end-to-end release pipeline including versioning strategy and artifact packaging.
- Define and enforce automated quality gates aligned with upstream cadences.
- Partner with engineers to build automated functional, performance, and regression test suites.
- Develop dashboards and alerting for build health and performance trends.
- Streamline inner-loop workflows and maintain CI runbooks for a distributed team.
- Coordinate with upstream open-source communities to track changes and contribute improvements.
