This role involves working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with system, power, software, and hardware engineers to develop innovative architectures for Qualcomm's product portfolio. Candidates will gain exposure to the full product life cycle, from pre-silicon to commercialization of chipsets. The position emphasizes software development, performance analysis, and optimization for power efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of academic or industry experience in Computer Architecture, Real Time Operating Systems, and C/ASM programming.
- Experience with debugging Real Time Embedded Systems using JTAG or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Python scripting and version control systems such as Perforce/Git.
- Ability to read hardware programming guides and write drivers/software based on that information.
Responsibilities
- Own or participate in multiple aspects of software development, including analyzing requirements and designing software solutions.
- Ensure power efficiency for current and next generation chipsets.
- Perform detailed analysis of existing software to provide recommendations for performance improvements.
- Develop tools for silicon profiling, validation, and debugging across all SoC components.
- Participate in pre-silicon evaluations and sign-offs.
