The role involves working with Qualcomm's CPU software architecture team to drive the development of cutting-edge CPU sub-system feature software architecture and firmware. Candidates will engage in hardware-software co-design, system optimizations, and firmware development, with a focus on the latest ARMv9 architecture features. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to various Qualcomm SoCs used in premium mobile devices, laptops, automotive, cloud, and server products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and embedded systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded system development.
• Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARMv8/v9 ISA.
• Familiarity with typical open-source development tools and frameworks.

• Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to design and customize software for optimal operational efficiency.
• Design and implement software modules for products and systems.
• Participate in the design and coding for large features, unit testing, significant debugging fixes, and integration efforts.
• Perform code reviews and regression tests, and triage and fix issues to ensure code quality.
