Job description

As an ASIC Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be at the forefront of technology innovation, focusing on defining, modeling, designing, and validating high-performance ASIC products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product execution and contribute to the development of next-generation communication and data processing solutions. Your role will involve both digital and analog design aspects, emphasizing low power and high-quality outputs. This position requires a strong understanding of mobile chip architecture and the ability to debug complex hardware and software issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
  • Understanding of mobile chip architecture, basic RTL, and exposure to transistor power fundamentals.
  • Excellent programming and scripting skills in preferred languages, particularly C and Python.
  • Experience in debugging low-level software and hardware issues using tools like JTAG and kernel debuggers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Silicon bring-up and measure Post-Si Vmin/Fmax, Power, and thermal data.
  • Debug low-level software and hardware issues utilizing various debug tools.
  • Manage emulation builds, run tests, and identify failures and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with CAD, RTL, and Design teams to resolve identified issues.
  • Automate validation flows, data collection, and analysis using Python or similar scripting languages.
