Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a motivated engineer to join the Modem System Test team in San Diego, focusing on validating modem features and system performance across various platforms. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of wireline, Ethernet, and wireless data protocols.
  • Knowledge of IP telephony and multimedia protocols.
  • Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals.
  • Programming or scripting experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or shell scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Validate end-to-end functionality and system level performance for modem networking and data protocol features.
  • Develop and execute system-level test strategies, methodologies, and test plans.
  • Define key data performance indicators and evaluate system performance.
  • Analyze 3GPP specifications and translate them into validation scenarios.
  • Perform log analysis, debugging, and root cause investigation of failures.
