The CPU Silicon Bring up and Validation Engineer at Qualcomm will be part of the CPU Silicon Bringup Team, focusing on the preparation and support for the bring up of SoCs using Custom CPUs. This role involves collaboration with CPU design and verification teams to develop test plans and strategies for CPU validation. The engineer will also work closely with SOC bring up and software teams to ensure successful CPU integration. Debugging and triaging silicon failures will be key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Silicon Validation and bring up.
- 3+ years of experience in implementation of assembly and C/C++ language embedded firmware.
- Experience with software tool chains including assemblers, C compilers, Makefiles, and source code control tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop CPU bring up and validation test plans in collaboration with design and verification teams.
- Prepare for CPU bring up through pre-work on emulation and FPGA platforms.
- Plan CPU bring up with SOC and software teams.
- Triage and debug failures on silicon.
- Develop test contents and testing strategies for CPU validation.
- Reproduce silicon failures on emulators and FPGAs with CPU verification teams.
- Suggest and architect new debug features to improve future CPU bring ups.
