Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Industrial Architecture or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in lab, facilities, critical environments, manufacturing, or infrastructure planning.
- Working knowledge of building electrical distribution and/or cooling concepts.
- Experience performing site assessments and translating findings into feasibility recommendations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an audit-ready inventory of lab infrastructure attributes.
- Perform site walks and technical due diligence to validate capacity and identify constraints.
- Develop and maintain repeatable infrastructure profiles and load templates by lab type.
- Evaluate candidate spaces and develop option trade studies with cost/schedule/risk inputs.
- Model demand vs. capacity and identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Translate equipment needs into space requirements and define utilization standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and ensure safety considerations.
- Design and optimize engineering lab layouts and workflows to improve productivity.
- Apply AI/ML techniques to lab operations data for forecasting and decision support.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and define standard methodologies for lab performance.
