Job description

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Qualcomm, you will develop and implement advanced tools and solutions to enhance AI capabilities across various technology sectors. This role focuses on optimizing generative AI architectures for Qualcomm's hardware, ensuring efficient execution while maintaining accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compiler and quantization engineers, to drive innovation in AI model preparation. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
  • Experience in ML systems, model optimization, or inference engineering.
  • Proficient in Python in large, typed codebases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating across AI compiler, AI research, and partner-facing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Reauthor generative AI architectures for efficient execution on Qualcomm AI hardware.
  • Integrate inference acceleration techniques into the model preparation pipeline.
  • Work with research teams to develop reauthoring strategies for custom OEM models.
  • Partner with compiler teams to understand on-target constraints and decide on optimization strategies.
  • Contribute reauthoring and adaptation stages to a multi-stage model preparation pipeline.
