Job description

Qualcomm is seeking ASIC Design Engineers for its QCT Memory Controller Design Team, focusing on the development of next-generation high-speed DDR Controllers. The role involves working on architecture, design, and deployment of Memory Controllers for LPDDR/PCDDR technologies. Candidates will be responsible for enabling high-speed designs and will collaborate with verification engineers to ensure high-quality outputs. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to design specifications and improve design methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
  • Experience with DDR controller architectures, particularly front-end interfacing to CPU, DSP, and multimedia processors.
  • Familiarity with x86 or ARM CPU/bus architectures.
  • 3-8 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and contribute to design specifications for Memory Controllers.
  • Drive the micro-architecture of portions of the logic design.
  • Implement and deliver RTL designs.
  • Collaborate with verification engineers to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Debug designs and provide support when integrated into the chip.
  • Participate in C/C++ modeling of memory controller IP.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement in design methodology to enhance productivity and quality.
