Job description
As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, modeling, designing, optimizing, verifying, validating, implementing, and documenting IP development for high-performance products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product execution. You will leverage advanced ASIC knowledge to create architectures and specifications based on system-level requirements. This position requires independent work with minimal supervision while also providing guidance to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
- Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
- 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration experience is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with architecture and design tools.
- 2+ years of experience with scripting tools and programming languages.
- 2+ years of experience with design verification methods.
- 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Define, model, design, optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP development for high-performance products.
- Create advanced architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and system simulations based on system-level requirements.
- Collaborate with functional teams to develop and execute an implementation strategy that meets system requirements.
- Evaluate all aspects of complex process flow from high-level design to verification.
- Utilize tools and applications to execute advanced architecture and design of complex blocks or IC Packages.
- Write and review detailed technical documentation for complex EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
