Job description

The role involves leading the research, design, development, and validation of algorithms for embedded SoC software architectures in next-generation mobile devices and wireless technologies. The individual will oversee lab environment setups for radio bring-up and interact with WLAN performance validation processes. They will also analyze performance metrics for 3G/4G/5G wireless platforms and contribute to design reviews and standards sessions. This position requires a strong understanding of computer system architecture and radio communication theory.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree field.
  • Expertise in radio communication theory and digital signal processing.
  • Experience with performance validation processes and metrics analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, design, and development of algorithms for embedded SoC software architectures.
  • Oversee lab environment setups for radio bring-up and configure WLAN control software.
  • Interact with WLAN performance validation processes and execute tests covering various metrics.
  • Identify and correlate results across multiple validation stages to isolate discrepancies.
  • Establish software partitions to create reliable and power-efficient system-on-chip solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to Qualcomm's IP portfolio.
