As a CPU Performance Analysis Engineer at Qualcomm, you will focus on analyzing and tuning CPU performance, projecting CPU roadmap performance, and conducting workload characterization. You will work with performance simulators and industry-standard benchmarks to develop competitive performance analysis models. This role requires a strong understanding of computer architecture and operating systems, along with scripting and programming skills. You will also be responsible for presenting performance data in a clear and concise manner.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience in one or more system architecture technology areas and products.

• Collect CPU performance data for various workloads and benchmarks.
• Conduct detailed workload characterization on silicon and performance simulators.
• Profile workload execution and develop single-threaded and multi-threaded behavior models of industry standard benchmarks.
• Develop tools and techniques to project SOC benchmark performance using CPU performance simulator and analytical characterization models.
• Prepare benchmark projections for roadmap and competitive CPU/SOC comparison and analysis.
• Build competitive performance prediction models.
• Present the competitive performance data in a concise manner.
