Job description

As a Qualcomm GPU Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, verifying, and optimizing the performance and power of GPU cores. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and drive digital transformation. You will leverage your expert GPU knowledge to guide the team in developing complex graphics tests and critical driver software. The position also involves significant decision-making that impacts project success and requires strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
  • Master's degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership is preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant GPU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
  • Build functional model simulations and develop software to verify correctness and performance.
  • Guide the team in designing and running complex graphics tests to verify functionality and performance.
  • Facilitate collaboration with third-party vendors and high-level representatives to ensure alignment with goals.
  • Develop critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
  • Write detailed technical documentation for complex GPU projects.
