Qualcomm is seeking a Principal of Software Engineering to lead Windows system development for Snapdragon products. This role focuses on the full life cycle of feature definition, development, and deployment within the Windows OS ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows operating systems, security, and enterprise solutions, along with strong leadership skills. The position involves collaborating with various teams to drive technical initiatives and ensure high-quality software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
- 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Deep technical background in Microsoft Windows OS concepts, kernel, drivers, APIs, and security.
- Expert experience in Microsoft Windows device driver development and associated toolchains.
- Strong knowledge of Windows system architecture across heterogeneous CPU and SoC architecture.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Windows platform development activities related to Snapdragon products.
- Lead Windows development for complex features and subsystems to meet product requirements.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks ensuring robust security and compliance.
- Act as a technical expert on PC industry trends and share expertise across teams.
