·FY 2025Job description
Qualcomm's Mixed-Signal PHY design team is seeking an analog and mixed-signal circuit designer to contribute to SerDes PHY designs. The role involves delivering next-generation PHY designs for SoCs while focusing on low-power analog designs. The designer will work within a team to oversee transistor-level circuit designs and supervise physical layouts of high-speed, low-power PHY SerDes blocks. This position requires collaboration with layout teams and interaction with senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience using design tools such as CADENCE, SPICE, MATLAB, and/or Verilog/VHDL.
Responsibilities
- Lead a chip or IP block and build end-to-end architecture and complex circuit designs for multiple blocks.
- Oversee layout of a chip or IP block in collaboration with layout teams.
- Define verification plans for entire IP or chip and run complex simulations and analyses.
- Design, program, and run comprehensive tests for large subsystems and review tests of junior team members.
- Establish rapport with internal or external users and third-party vendors to align on project plans.
- Write clear and detailed technical documentation and design descriptions for complex projects.
- Conduct research on industry trends in analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
- Lead conversations to generate new ideas and directions for new initiatives.
Benefits
- Qualcomm offers competitive compensation, annual bonuses, stock programs, comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, wellness programs, parental leave, flexible work options, and professional development opportunities.
