Job description
The Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst is a developing professional role focused on securities transaction processing and derivative operations. The role involves monitoring and assessing processes and data while integrating knowledge of industry practices. The analyst will work within a team to support traders and assist in resolving issues related to securities and derivatives settlement. This position requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of Treasury products and regulatory policies.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience working in Treasury Operations or Middle Office
- Good understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment
- Good analytical skills and positive attitude
- Knowledge of Macros
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Process securities transactions related to Securities Clearance Settlement and Derivative Operations.
- Provide analytic support to traders and review derivative products.
- Follow established procedures to identify and investigate problems related to securities and derivatives settlement.
- Assist in resolving problems by selecting solutions based on technical experience.
- Deliver reports to meet management requirements and support control activities.
- Implement process improvements to minimize risk to the bank.
- Manage and escalate all requests, inquiries, issues, and errors in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Assess risk when making business decisions and drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
