Job description
The role focuses on understanding customer characterization requirements and providing solutions using KLA's optical and interferometry-based techniques. The Semiconductor Process Control team is dedicated to ensuring high-quality production of semiconductor chips that power modern technologies. This position involves significant customer interaction and technical expertise, particularly in optics and metrology. The successful candidate will contribute to business development and support sales efforts while working in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering with a background in optics is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role related to thin-film deposition, metrology, or surface characterization is required.
- Strong understanding of optical properties of materials and light-matter interactions is necessary.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision is essential.
- Effective technical presentation and product demonstration skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Understand customers' characterization requirements and provide solutions using KLA's various optical and interferometry-based techniques.
- Conduct product and measurement demonstrations for customers.
- Define, prepare, and present quotes to customers and close sales opportunities efficiently.
- Support sales and product management as the key expert and provide technical phone support for installed systems.
- Train customers on key technologies and product use.
- Assist with business development by qualifying new applications, markets, and customers.
- Author white papers, product application notes, and technical papers for conferences.
- Willing to travel up to 25%.
