Job description

The role at Blackstone involves leading and executing product and project workstreams with a focus on engineering-aligned solution delivery. The candidate will collaborate closely with Finance and Operations teams to design and implement scalable, code-driven solutions that automate complex business processes. This position is situated within the Blackstone Technology & Innovations team, which emphasizes problem-solving and active mentoring. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product management, business analysis, and engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or software engineering, preferably in a hybrid or highly technical role.
  • Prior experience in real estate or private equity along with knowledge of performance calculations, deal life cycle, forecasting, and investor reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering teams and translating business requirements into implementable technical specifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of programming and data manipulation, such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience designing or contributing to code-based solutions beyond configuration-driven tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into clear, structured technical requirements, including data models, logic flows, and system interactions.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions using modern programming languages and architectures.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to re-platform or modernize legacy solutions into modern code-based implementations.
  • Design, build, and implement solutions leveraging the most appropriate technologies, such as Python and SQL.
  • Contribute to solution architecture discussions, including trade-offs across performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Manage project delivery by defining milestones, tracking progress, and providing clear updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) with a focus on validating logic, data integrity, and system behavior.
  • Oversee data migration, reconciliation, and validation, ensuring accuracy and auditability of outputs.
  • Collaborate with offshore and affiliate teams with an emphasis on clear technical communication and alignment.
  • Serve as a technical-functional bridge, supporting end users while guiding the adoption of more robust, engineering-driven solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Blackstone are often offered comprehensive and competitive benefits, including robust health and retirement plans, paid time off, and a range of quality-of-life programs such as wellbeing support and family planning resources.
