This role is an extraordinary opportunity for a hardworking support engineer to join a distributed team supporting the Apple Online Store, a multi-channel elite eCommerce platform. The position is technical in nature and requires deep knowledge of the eCommerce platform to provide support to business and engineering teams. Strong communication skills are essential for distilling complex technical topics into understandable terms. The support engineering team will also focus on defining and evolving standard practices and procedures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering or application support experience in a large-scale environment
- Coding knowledge in Java, Scala, or frameworks related to Java
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and Unix Shell Scripting
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, and familiarity with Splunk or other APM tools
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to business and core engineering teams
- Communicate complex technical topics in easy-to-understand terms
- Take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures
- Monitor, alert, and analyze faults in the eCommerce platform
- Drive triage of critical issues with multiple technical and business teams
